Getting Started

What to Expect When Starting Physical Therapy

Here at Gray Physical Therapy Center we want to provide all our patients with:

  • Education and development of a partnership with you to better understand, manage and prevent progression or relapse of your condition
  • Emphasis on listening to YOUR needs and developing a program that is specific to you.
  • Giving you the practical tools necessary to manage and prevent flareups with an emphasis on proper techniques for work and household chores
  • Having fun with our FUNctional approach to physical therapy
Getting you back to work, school and play

Your First Visit

You will be welcomed by our front office staff. The office staff will help you complete all the paperwork as well as review your insurance benefits with you.

The next step will be to meet your physical therapist, who will conduct a one-on-one evaluation in a private treatment room. During your evaluation you will:

  • Discuss your conditions and any other health concerns.
  • Review your medical history and establish the activities in which you are limited.
  • Be given a personalized treatment plan by your therapist that meets the goals of our visit.
  • Meet with the office staff to schedule subsequent appointments. It is important to schedule far in advance to secure a convenient time for you while avoiding breaks in treatment.
